The head of NATO has said Europe needs to expand its energy supplies, as the United Kingdom cautioned it was “almost certain” that Russia, the landmass’ greatest petroleum gas provider, was hoping to attack Ukraine.

The European Union relies upon Russia for about 33% of its gas supplies and any interference would intensify a current energy emer gency brought about by a lack.
